Eric Blair

Eric Blair is Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology in the University of Leeds. He obtained his first degree in Biochemistry from Edinburgh University and his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick. His interests in the molecular biology of adenoviruses stemmed from postdoctoral work with Willie Russell in the National Institute for Medical Research, London and Lennart Philipson in Uppsala University. His major research interests are the exploitation of adenoviruses in gene therapy and understanding the molecular mechanisms of cell transformation and oncogenesis mediated by adenoviruses and human papillomaviruses.
